Walla Walla based wineries L’Ecole No. 41 and Valdemar Estates
to Open Tasting Rooms in Woodinville’s New Wine Walk Row

New development is part of five-acre Schoolhouse District project that also includes adaptive reuse of the historic Schoolhouse No. 23 Building and provides a first-of-its kind destination experience with multiple dining, residential living, wine tasting and recreation options.

MainStreet Property Group, along with partner HAL Real Estate, has announced that two acclaimed wineries based in Walla Walla, WA. – L’Ecole No. 41 and Valdemar Estates — will open new tasting rooms this spring and summer in Woodinville, WA.  The tasting rooms, which will be located in Woodinville’s new Wine Walk Row complex in The Schoolhouse District, will be the first Western Washington locations for both wineries.

Tradition of Excellence

Founded in 1983 and focused on producing world-renowned wines that reflect the unique terroir of the Columbia Valley and its estate Walla Walla Valley vineyards, L’Ecole No. 41 will provide a selection of distinctive and expressive red and white wines at its new 1,415 sq. ft. location in Wine Walk Row.

Designed to echo the charm and warmth of its flagship tasting room located in the Historic Frenchtown Schoolhouse in the Walla Walla Valley, L’Ecole’s newest location will include spaces where visitors can gather for relaxed, tasteful experiences, enjoy L’Ecole’s internationally recognized bottlings, and connect with friends and wine lovers both old and new.

In Woodinville, L’Ecole will offer a tasting experience for those discovering their wines for the first time, focused on education about the Walla Walla Valley and the company’s varietals — as well as an enjoyable space for those who already love L’Ecole’s wines, such as the renowned Ferguson or other winery-exclusive bottlings.

Slated to open in July, 2022, the tasting room will kick things off with a month of new vintage releases, special tasting opportunities and select library offerings pulled from their Schoolhouse cellar in the Walla Walla Valley. L’Ecole’s Vins de L’Ecole Wine Club members will also be invited to join a special grand opening event.

Valdemar Estates

“As a fifth-generation family-owned winery, we’re so pleased to be continuing our wine journey to include our very first location in Western Washington at ‘The Schoolhouse District’ project,” said Jesús Martínez-Bujanda, fifth-generation CEO of The Valdemar Family. “When we decided to expand, we knew we didn’t want to open just another tasting room in Woodinville — we wanted to offer something special to the community — and I think that is what we’re doing with our new location in Wine Walk Row,” continued Martínez-Bujanda.

Valdemar Estates’ location will occupy nearly 3,000 square-feet extending into a spacious outdoor patio that celebrates the indoor-outdoor connection to all that The Schoolhouse District has to offer.   Valdemar’s new tasting room will provide a vibrant collection of wine and food experiences.  When all is said and done, a total of 11 tasting rooms are expected to lease space in Wine Walk Row.  The spaces include individual roll-up doors and ample room for outdoor seating.
