Double Canyon Opens New Tasting Room in West Richland.
Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon producer adds tasting room to new state-of-the-art facility.
Double Canyon, a winery dedicated to producing benchmark Washington State Cabernet Sauvignon, has announced the opening of its new tasting room. The space opened to the public on July 6.
Located in West Richland, WA., the tasting room is the newest addition to Double Canyon’s state-of-the-art winery, which opened in September of 2017. The facility is conveniently positioned in close proximity to the Red Mountain appellation and wineries. “We look forward to providing a dynamic and educational guest experience at Double Canyon,” said Will Beightol, general manager and vineyard manager for Double Canyon. “Having a dedicated tasting room will allow us to host wine enthusiasts, along with access to our new facility. Our hope is that this will become a gathering place for locals and those looking to explore Washington State wine country.”
The new tasting room features a tasting bar and table seating with intimate views of the barrel room and production area, as well as patio seating with a fire pit. Guests may enjoy a tasting flight or order wine by the glass or bottle from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday through Sunday.
Double Canyon transitioned all of its winemaking activities to the new winery for the 2017 harvest, allowing winemaker Kate Michaud and her team complete control over the winemaking process from vine to bottle. Michaud was hired as Double Canyon’s winemaker just prior to the 2017 harvest.
Double Canyon’s new tasting room is located at 8060 Keene Rd., West Richland, WA. 99353. Phone: (509) 579-7065. To learn more about the Double Canyon story, visit: www.doublecanyon.com.
